This is an excerpt from Bundy’s address book, with a special note dated May 23, 1977. It was written two weeks before his escape from the Pitkin County Courthouse in Aspen, Colorado. May 23rd was also the day he pleaded “not guilty” to the Caryn Campbell homicide in court.

It reads:

F.B.I.- Now what’s a nice F.B.I. agent like you doing snooping in a book like this.
